Quilt Bloggers Festival - Entry

Ok, I went back and forth as to enter a quilt in the Quilt Bloggers Festival over at Amy's Creative Side. This will be my first time entering my quilts into any type of competition. To sum it up, it's really quite nerve-wracking! I decided to enter my Modern Maples quilt into the Small Quilt competition.  Head over to the links to see all the action. Voting starts next week!

  4. Great entry! And think of it as more of a link up with the potential for prizes, rather than a competition. Makes everything easeir :)

  7. Whoop whoop! Congratulations on entering your first quilt into a competition! I have no doubt this will be a winner of some sorts! Loving the quilting on this and would not have thought it would work with this pattern, but it really does; it's almost an alternate way of expressing the leaves "blowing" in the wind. Great job!

  9. I love this quilt! The way you arranged your colors, from brown to green, was really clever, and it makes the layout really cohesive. Hope you enjoy the festival! It's fun seeing what everyone else has made.

  15. No matter what happens at the Festival, you are already a winner with this gorgeous quilt. I love everything about it, from the pattern, to the fabrics, color choices and color placements, and also the quilting. It is a real work of art. I love what "Liz" said about thinking of this not as a completion, but as a link up with prizes. Very smart! Hope you enjoy the process and do not stress over it, no need, you've made a beauty there. Good luck.
