Another Dig in the Scrap Bin

Back dealing with my scraps!

In my post On the Issue of Scraps, I had mentioned leaving behind many oranges, navy, and greens. When I saw the mark up for Glass Snail Crawling Do. Good. Stitches quilt this month, it was the perfect fit for what I had in my bin.

The original was designed using these vary colors I need to use and works well with a scrappy theme.

I started cutting immediately. Nothing like another project!

I absolutely love how this one turned out. I adore scraps.

Now just how to quilt this one?

  1. This is adorable! I would think that you would want some sort of curvy quilting on it -- actually, could you quilt a pattern similar to the background on your blog that follows the lines of the quilt? That might be pretty neat.

  2. What a great pattern for scraps...I'm always partial to a good scrappy quilt. :) I really need to dig through my bins more often. Can't wait to see how you quilt it.

  3. Fantastic and great patterns for scraps! I thinks just a meander quilting motif might work well. :)

  4. Awesome quilt, I really love the colors and it is awesome that it came from scraps. I agree with Yvonne a nice meander would look great.

  8. Oh my goodness!! This is magical! I can't tell you how surprised I was to find this post this morning. I'm just now getting my blocks in the mail from my bee and then I'm treated to seeing what this block pattern looks like in full scrappy print glory! Wow. And what a perfect palette match to your scrap pile! It really was meant to be. I'll be checking back to see how it looks all quilted up. :D

  10. This really packs some punch! Wow... just wow. And it's out of scraps too! Did Glass Snail Crawling write up an actual tutorial or did you just take what she showed in her post and figure out your own size?

  11. This is a real eye-catcher. Not only did you do a lovely job in every way, but the photos show how the pattern seems to change a bit depending on what angle you're looking at it. Sweet.
