Most are k...please take classes with professionals. Most are kind, blow off the others but learn all you can. A note about sewing over pins. you can put off the timing on the machine then your stitches go bad, or get a burr on the bobbin case and all tension gets messed up. There's usually a reason behind rules... sorry to sound fussy, just reading a lot of people saying the same kind of things. I pin like a fiend and then sew...I also love steam. I pin like a fiend and then sew over the pins; some pins and needles break, but my points line up. I do not like batiks either, although I admit they have their place, such as in art quilts.<br />Anything not <em>deliberately</em> wonky is annoying. I have found that wonky stars are great group projects. <br />I <em>once</em> had to square a quilt after it was badly stretched by a long-arm quilter.
