So curious about a quilt without batting. The flannel would add enough structure. Does your friend usually use flannel as well? A flannel back sounds like it would be more snuggly.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10899292686129929509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4907625648628358486.post-50287011197289855012016-05-19T00:31:41.499-04:002016-05-19T00:31:41.499-04:00Are you using quilting thread or something else? I'd like to hand quilt something with only the front and back but I've no clue about thread to use and if I'd use knots or ?colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13979234789965049533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4907625648628358486.post-27490866144626999412016-05-19T00:29:12.211-04:002016-05-19T00:29:12.211-04:00Lovely quilt and please explain more about the &qu...Lovely quilt and please explain more about the "no batting" I live in the south and this is something I'd like to try. And your right hand quilting does take forever. I find I enjoy it while I'm doing it but as soon as I put it down it seems a chore to pick it back up. And I think another problem I have is I don't know when to stop. Lol. I keep saying oh I'll just add some more here, or there. Lol. Just curious about this option, since I live in Florida after all.Diana @ Red Delicious Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10157904204372685921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4907625648628358486.post-52517897128137195562016-05-18T18:11:41.250-04:002016-05-18T18:11:41.250-04:00It looks lovely and from this angle like you have ...It looks lovely and from this angle like you have done way more than half the quilting... but I know that it might be deceiving.Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705160384198590025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4907625648628358486.post-23786282440271444492016-05-18T17:39:09.501-04:002016-05-18T17:39:09.501-04:00I like the idea of a summer weight quilt. I'm curious how much you can feel the seams if there's nothing between. That's my only concern. Otherwise, you've probably added something to my list of things to do this summer!
