Final Stretch

Oh, they are sew pretty all together!! After last post, I realized that with nine more blocks I would have a good sized lap quilt.  So back to the book to get these last blocks sewn up!

From the stack I am going to use 42 of the 9 inch blocks.  Now I just need to start cutting sashing!!!

Sew long for now,

  5. Your color selections are just perfect! This is going to be an amazing quilt! I also love how you used the chalkboards to label the blocks. I am always looking for fun ways to style my photos, so thanks for the inspiration! Visiting from the blog hop discussion group :)

  7. Visiting from the new group! Love the colors you've chosen. It's going to be a really cheerful quilt. Can't wait to see what color you choose to sash with (I think aqua would be fun) and how you choose to quilt it!

  8. I love your chalkboards beside the blocks. That's so practical in the world of Pinterest. It's frustrating when I find a block I like, but it got separated from its name, so I can't track down how to make it. This is a perfect solution to labeling the blocks and making it pretty!

  10. These blocks are fantastic ~ I love the colors you've chosen. I recently bought the book, and started reading (love the letters :-) but that's as far as I've gotten.
(How are your blocks 9 inches? did you just enlarge all the templates by a certain percentage?)

  12. That chalkboard is a great idea. I have just finished all the 169 squares of a Dear Jane quilt (just the triangles to go) and I love this method of identifying each cute block.

  14. I'm here because of your email in the New Blogger's discussion group. THIS IS AWESOME. I'm doing the gypsy wife quilt along, and the chalkboard is a fantastic idea for labeling blocks! Unfortunately, I hung on to the tiny chalkboard we had for pictures during our wedding for three years and just tossed it a few weeks ago. It would have been perfect. But, I'm inspired to come up with something else now. Thanks for sharing your idea!
