Yay, to my second summer finish ... or down to 18 WIPs! The quilt already has a lot of pizzaz so it got a simple solid for the binding (Kona Slate). It has been finished for a while, but I have been too lazy to take pictures. I guess that is downfall of summer vacation, there is always tomorrow. Speaking of summer vacation, nothing beats spending time on the lake :) How about this view!
Ok, now back to basting. My friend probably wants her baby quilt soon!
Sew long for now,
Patch & Chels
This looks great, Chelsea! I love how the low volume prints disappear when you look at the overall quilt but are full of fun details closeup. The slate binding looks great, and the lake seems super inviting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish and beautiful photographs. Congrats on your summer finish.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so well. Beautiful finish!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteLove how this turned out! Great finish, and great picture! Makes me want to get out of the city and visit a lake. I hear you on summer vacation. Even though I work on my school stuff year round, the summer makes it so much harder to concentrate!
ReplyDeleteI still only have half a dozen blocks on my alphabet quilt. I must get cracking!
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt, the colors are just awesome. I have the patterns for the letter, I need to do one for myself.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I'm just getting into low volume backgrounds so this is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Love the backdrop fabric too, and a solid binding is never a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteDid you downsize your blocks? The other versions I've seen look bigger, and I really like the size of yours. We are making a bedroom for my little girl, and there is a spot a quilt this size would look perfect, so I may totally steal your quilt as the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt came out great!! Such lovely colours and who can beat a LV background?!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time at the lake! Summer is just too short :(
ReplyDeleteLove that you have a running tally on 18 WIP left-LOL
Oh this is so beautiful! Love the colors and the interesting background fabrics! Great pictures by the lake as well!
