This weekend was the big reveal. We finally got to see each other's work. We keep it a secret, so it's extra exciting. Here is what my grandmother came up with, pretty awesome! Hard to tell that these two quilts use EXACTLY the same fabric!
Gram's Version |
I went with a scrappy crossroads block for mine as I absolutely loved the patten. It did a good job showing off all the patterns in the line. Then finished it off with some hand quilting.
Now we just need to decided what next year's challenge will entail .... oh the possibilities!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way for your and your grandmother to bond together... as though the shared passtime of quilting weren't enough! Love what both of you came up with!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun thing to do with your Gram...and they both look wonderful, and yes, hard to see that they're the same fabric! Well done ladies!

I think it's so fun that you and your grandmother do this. I am crazy about the color palette of this line (and the fabric you used for the back of your quilt is amazing!) ... I think there may be a fabric purchase for me in the near future!
