True Pink

It's December! Where has the year gone? One of my goals this year was to get my WIPs down to 5, and I am on a roll. Here is my second finish, True Pink. Early this year I had amassed a lot of pink scraps, so this quilt was born. I'm not usually a huge fan of monochromatic colored quilts but this one may have changed my mind.

Quilt Stats:

  • Finished Size: 60 inches x 60 inches
  • Pattern: True Blue
  • Fabric: Pink Scraps
  • Batting: 80/20 Blend
  • Thread: Connecting Threads - Light Pink
  • Quilting: Straight Line

Now I need to get the rest of my Christmas sewing done. Only a couple more projects to go then I am finished. Last year I was scrambling last minute to finish gifts, this year I learned something about time management. Win for me.  Good luck to the rest getting everything finished!

  1. It is lovely! I like that the background pink is so light in comparison to the patchwork scraps you used for the blocks; it really makes the monochromatic color scheme work here. How many WIPs do you have at the moment? It really does seem like you must be close to your goal.

  2. Pretty quilt! I wrote a book on that theme. You can find "Monochromatic Quilts: Amazing Variety". On Amazon.

  4. Isn't that funny. I love monochromatic quilts, and pink is always a winner in my eyes.
Monochrome is my go-to. I even have a collection of two-fabric quilt pattern ideas.
