As part of my fabric fast this year, I also took on getting rid of many of my scraps from long ago. A while back I pulled enough charm squares to make two pink quilts. For this quilt I chose the pattern "Road to ... oh Damn" it was the perfect pattern. After sitting around for a few months, this little cutie finally got finished.
Road to ... Oh Damn
48 inches by 48 inches
I used a simple double loop stipple pattern, it was quick and easy way to top quilt. The backing was also pulled from my stash, using some some left over charm squares and a pale pink chevron print.
This quilt is super pink and very girly, good thing I happen to know a sweet little girl who might be in need of a snuggly quilt!

Super cute too! :)
ReplyDeleteAww my girls would love all that pink!
ReplyDeleteLove that minty colour through it! You've matched the light/darks really well. I didn't even realise you had dots amongst the background until the closeups!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and beautiful photos as always :) A great way to bounce back from the fwq blues
ReplyDeleteSuch a great quilt! The colors you used give it an "aged" feel that I love. And I really like the way you did the back. It looks like a great quilt to snuggle with!
ReplyDeleteWow - I love the addition of the teal fabric in the center star. Great quilting too!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely - so soft looking. Like the back too and the quilting gives a great texture in the photos!
ReplyDeleteI am not normally such a huge fan of so much pink; however I really enjoy how you made it soft and dark, it broke it up a lot and it would be perfect for a little girl all snuggled up! Great way to use up your stash! Hopefully you have made more of a dent in it. :o)
ReplyDeleteVery cute finish. I don't need to do a fabric fast, but I do need to get my scraps in a more manageable state. They're all sorted in bins by color but I'm considering cutting them into ready-use squares and rectangles so I'm more apt to use them. A pattern like this would work well for scraps.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little quilt! I love the mix of reds and pinks -- from far away, they bring each other out and the reds look softer -- like more of a "nantucket red". It's really cute! I bet the little girl you have in mind will love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And I love the quilting! I also am not a huge pink fan but this is soo adorable! The aqua squres were a brilliant touch :)
ReplyDeleteSo, you are down to what. . . 8 or 9 UFOs? You are making huge progress!
You can never gave too much pink, I say! Super cute and girly is always a winner, especially because of the bold pink that adds oomph to the design.
ReplyDeletePretty and lovely quilting as well!
