Ok, confession time. I am obsessed with the show "Fixer Upper." On the first season of the show Joanna had the quote "Today is a Good Day for a Good Day" cut from metal to put on a clients wall. I wanted it so bad!
Instead of joining along with the same quilt put out by Lella Boutique, with the quote "When Life is Scrappy >>> Make a Quilt." I decided to switch it up with the quote above. The link above goes to the pattern for each letter.
I love Vanessa's stars and arrows, pattern found at Moda Bake Shop, to use as filler between words. I also used a Ohio Star from Moda, a Granny Square, A Thimble Blossoms "Dwell" House, and Heart blocks by Cluck Cluck Sew.
With it being summer vacation and all it was only fitting that every day is a good day :)
This is just darling! :)
ReplyDeleteAh, what a perfect quote for such a happy quilt. This looks really generously sized; how big did the flimsy finish? And I'm a total sucker for house renovation shows, too!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote too and such a perfect way to use it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Chelsea!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt!! Love the quote and all the filler blocks you used.
ReplyDeleteI love that show too! Great quilt :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt. I have to be very careful about watching any shows on HGTV because it puts too many ideas in my head and I start too many home improvement projects! Now that we live in a house that's less than 3 years old, it doesn't happen as often but my first home was almost 100 years old and I was out of control!
ReplyDeleteWow, another stunning blocks.Love your fabric combo.
ReplyDeleteI really like the star and chevrons as a filler too!
ReplyDeleteThat is a new-to-me quote, but I like the cheerful attitude behind it.
Love, love this! What a wonderful idea!
